Class Schedule
Welcome to the new semester! We will run our rotations a little different this year so we can make sure that all students are receiving the same number of days in each section (sport, fitness, health). After the first few weeks of school we will be rotating on a weekly schedule-so the new unit will begin on the Monday of that week
This semester our 6th graders will get to experience golf and leadership with SWINGPALS! We can't wait for this awesome experience.

Curriculum:
Our Curriculum uses learning objectives from the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
We focus on both Health and Physical Education throughout the entire semester (18 weeks).
Physical Education -
Students will participate in a variety of activities including traditional games, cooperative games, and lifelong activities that will focus on improving the following skills:
Social Health, Physical Fitness, Team Building, Team Sports, Individual Sport Skills, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Cooperation, Leadership
Health Education -
Students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout their entire lifetime. They will focus on all aspects of the Health Triangle in order to achieve overall wellness. Working on:
Mental/Emotional Health, Personal & Consumer Health, Interpersonal Health & Relationships, Heart Health, Human Trafficking, Nutrition & Physical Activity, Alcohol, Tobacco, & Other Drugs, Reproductive Health & Safety (7th & 8th Grade), Character Education (6th Grade), Environmental Health & Safety
